![]() ![]() The A380 is not used in any of the flights I simulate.īut this thing just looks too good to ignore. Then, I make the flight “in paralell” with the actual aircraft making it in real life. I restrict those flights to those flown with specific aircraft: Aerosoft CRJ, FBW A32NX, Fenix A320 and Headwind A330, which actually gives me a pretty large rooster of realistic flights with realistic equipment to choose from. I choose to go from airport A to airport B, 90% of the time from the list of 3rd party airports I have, or those bespoke airports in FS2020 I think are good enough (I don´t enjoy flying to most default airports). ![]() The way I use the simulator, I go to FlightRadar24, and select a specific flight to take off in the next hour or so. So be on the look out!Īnd while we do not want you to donate solely for that reason, we do show our donators some videos and unpolished previews from time to time, as a thank you. If you are an active participant of the FBW discord #chat channel, you will have seen the 380 a few times over the past few months. What we do instead is do a few unanounced and discreet previews. While it would be cool to have something ready to show, sometimes other areas take priority and something might be 5% away from being showable for a few months. The artistic direction is on the modeling and texturing team. We do not wanna pressure our modelers into producing something in particular. One flaw and people point it out endlessly. We basically have to get specific parts of the airplane looking 100% right to show something. But then comes the issues with releasing a lot of previews. Photo real textures for buildings, vehicles etc.On one hand we want to show people the progress we make, and we want people to be excited.Photo realistic ground textures based on aerial images (0,5m/pixel).Completely created scenery of Airport Zurich for X-Plane 10, state of late 2015.The entrances to terminals 1 and 2 were recently rebuilt – we already completely finished the reconstruction for this scenery, including a new roofing.Jet engine test site with new, large noise absorption hall.Enhanced Apron P with additional parking positions.Terminal 2 was recently rebuilt and was finished by the end of 2015 – we already completely finished the terminal for this scenery.Static Airbus A380 of Emirates Airline, parking at Gate E67.Parking position E67 at Dock E now includes a separate, elevated boarding bridge.Updated taxiways and parking positions, as creating parking positions for the Airbus A380 changed other positions and moved lots of taxiway markings.New transparent boarding bridges with glass sides at every gate.Newly created buildings and objects with lots of 3D details, partly high resolution 2K textures. The finished development condition results in some new features: And thanks to baked textures in combination with X-Plane’s HDR rendering, Airport Zurich will shine at night as well with excellent effects.ĭespite all the features and complexity, great attention has been paid to the performance of this airport so it can be shown with a good frame rate. The faithful signage and lighting of all taxiways and runways round off this impression. A multitude of animations for the radar systems, windsocks, airport traffic and more move this airport even closer to its real counterpart. The buildings and objects in this scenery were modeled with numerous 3D details and photo realistic textures in some parts, even high resolution 2K textures were used. ![]() The development of the airport facilities meets the state of late 2015 as well. The ground layout has been created from scratch based on high resolution aerial images and it complies with the current data of the charts. This completely new scenery is full of details, including every building and the entire airport environment, De-Icing and all features you would expect from a modern scenery for X-Plane. ![]()
